Coup de foudre

It was on a Tuesday morning that I had butterflies in my stomach. Definitely nervous although I had prepared everything that should be prepared. As I walked through the hallway, searching for his office, there was only one room that had a door opened. I peeked and there he was. He glanced over his shoulder and asked if I was the person who wanted to meet him. I nodded and he welcomed me. I took a seat and waited for him to settle as I came a few minutes early. I took the opportunity to observe his office while I wait. There was an apple on his table with a tumbler which I assumed contained coffee. Since the apple was untouched, I expected that he got to the office early to have breakfast in his office. So now I felt guilty for coming too early. His bag and was neatly placed on the table, he seemed neat. We talked. I noticed that he was trying to calm me down by letting me talk more which did help. As he was talking, I realised he was very passionate about his research which I find very admirable and at that moment I knew it was coup de foudre. Unfortunately the feelings were not mutual and of course I had to move on. That was the end of it.

A continuation on the dramas that I watched this year, some may have short feedback as I might have forgotten some parts or I’m lazy to type or the drama did not gave me much impact and again this is just my personal ratings :)

 

1.Prison Playbook / Wise Prison Life 10/10

Definitely loved each and every cast in this drama, every character has that warm, sweet side and their own background story that reflects their attitude which of course made myself understand them better, except for Captain Na since he’s been like that since childhood which I find very funny. There are loopholes in this drama but I guess that’s just life. Towards the end, I was a little disappointed for what Kaist had gone through, I just wished that he had a proper farewell with his cell mates and his son. Looney’s decision to take drug on the day he was released since no one waited for him at the gate, again he should have told his partner the truth, I feel sorry for the mother because deep down she felt responsible for what happened to his son. Go ParkSa’s annoying and irresponsible boss really gets me, I hated the boss and the colleagues. The errand boy who turned his back because of money disappoints me. There’s a lot to talk about but here are just some of it. Not to forget all the familiar actors and actresses not forgetting Kim KyungNam was cute here ! A drama that I will watch again and again.

2. Age of Youth 8/10

Loved all the sisterly love, I need more female best friends dramas !

 

3. Abyss 6/10

Too much entanglement but I loved the cast nonetheless.

 

4. Extraordinary You 7/10

Was okay though I find it hard to understand the first few episodes. A drama that I actually ship the second male lead Baek Kyung (Lee JaeWook) with the female lead Eun DanOh (Kim HyeYoon).

 

5. First First Love 2 7/10

Very much satisfied with the ending, love the cast !

 

6. Love After School 6/10

Thank God this had 8 episodes only, hated the girl’s so called best friend, loved the lead though. I just dislike the fact that she did not tell the guy the reason that they broke up.

7. Love Alarm 6/10

I do not get the hype of this drama.

 

8. Pegasus Market 10/10

I love how ridiculous and awesome this drama is but still touched my heart.

 

9.  My Holo Love 7/10

Not too heavy but okay.

 

10. Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 10/10

Love this so much !

 

11. Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 2 10/10

Love this too and OMG I actually ship Ahn HyoSeop with Lee SungKyung. When the male lead falls for the female lead first and not the other way around.

 

12. Sky Castle 8/10

Loved the casts, story wise was okay.

 

13. Waikiki 2 8/10

Loved this though I still loved the first season more !

 

14. When The Devil Calls Your Name 6/10

The OSTs are awesome, the story not so much.

 

15. 100 Days My Prince 7/10

Fun to watch but I will not watch it again.

 16. Hotel Del Luna 8/10

Enjoyed it, would watch it again !

17. Encounter 7/10

Was okay, at times it was frustrating to watch but I loved seeing familiar faces here.

18. Memories Of The Alhambra 6.5/10

I'm never watching it again, hated the ending.

19. I Picked Up A Star On The Road 6.5/10

Fun to watch.

20. Legend of The Blue Sea 8/10

I actually enjoyed watching this drama.

21. Arthdal Chronicles 8/10

It took me six episodes to get me hooked on this drama. A very slow start. Too much characters got me confused but once I get the hang of it it was very enjoyable. I do hope there's season 2 as the ending was rushed in my opinion but a normal 16 episode drama please.

22. Doctor John 8/10

This drama got me crying cause I feel it in my jelly. A new kind of doctor drama, it's refreshing. It was good seeing Hwang Hee who acted as MooGwang in Arthdal Chronicles too! Lee Kyu Hyung, our looney and the other guy swindler 'George Clooney'!

23. It's Okay To Not Be Okay 8/10

Definitely a healing drama, love the fairy tales too. All characters portrayed their roles perfectly I love them so much ! P.S. Seo YeJi's outfit is love!

P.S. RIP Haruma Miura who died recently on July 18^th, 2020.

 

 

 

 

An update on my dramas

I have been watching dramas, so I will be posting my personal ratings on the dramas here just for a record.

1. The King: Eternal Monarch 10/10

A drama that I would watch again and again cause it's awesome! Everything is perfect, every single casts, the story line, the osts, bgm, cinematography, I love it. Thanks to this drama, I discovered Woo DoHwan (he left for his military service yesterday though but it's okay, we will get through this). Lots of love!

2. Samurai High School 8.7/10

I love this short drama, definitely reminded me of Woo DoHwan's character from The King: Eternal Monarch. I love the (Haruma Miura) male lead's father, he's very supportive of his children especially the son. All the wise words from both the samurai and high school guy was deep. I just finished watching it few hours ago hehe.

3. Suspicious Partner 8/10

This drama was from 2017. It was kinda chill, not too stressful as I binge watched it, if I were to wait weekly to watch it, I might get stressed because every ending was so interesting that I could not wait to watch the next episode. I loved seeing Ji ChangWook play this character. The interactions with the co-workers were superb. Not to forget the casts, I love everyone. Also it was good seeing familiar faces from Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim, Jang HyukJin and Kim Hong Fa!

4. The Secret Life of My Secretary 8/10

Fun to watch but of course, I could not not worry when the boss found out that the secretary lied. I love clingy and cute Kim YoungKwang here. And Jin KiJoo my new favorite actress!

5. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo 6/10

I absolutely dislike HaeSoo's indecisiveness, too many deaths, the story was too long and draggy, no explanation on why or how it happened whatsoever or maybe I missed it or I just don't get it, but I love all the casts, they portrayed their roles perfectly, a drama that I would never watch again. 

6. Hwarang 8/10

The first two episodes I cried my eyeballs out when Lee KwangSoo's character died, it was so sad. However, this was actually easy to watch, a well balanced mixture of humor and seriousness. Again, all casts are wonderful.

7. Hospital Playlist 10/10

This drama was amazing, it's got love, friendship, family, business, the casts, story line, osts, lots of love for this drama. I can't wait for season 2!

8. Crash Landing On You 10/10

Another amazing drama. I love the casts so much! Though it could've been better if Kim JungHyun's character lived happily with Seo JiHye's character. I hope there will be another amazing drama starring Kim JungHyun and Seo JiHye soon! A cameo is not enough hehe. Seo JiHye, another addition to my new favorite actress.

9. Lawless Lawyer 7.8/10

I loved all the badass scenes, Seo YeJi's strong character and badass Lee JoonGi. I binge watched this drama so it was not that stressful to watch.

10.  Itaewon Class 7.8/10

It was okay but the song by Gaho that fits perfectly with the situation made me want to be like Park SeRoYi played by Park SeoJoon. Kim Dami's character Jo YiSeo was so badass I love her!
